Regulation of KSeF – Background
Current expected dates for mandatory implementation of KSeF:
- February 2026 – KSeF mandatory for large taxpayers. Considered large taxpayers companies with more than 200 million PLN (about EUR 46M).
- April 2026 – KSeF mandatory for all taxpayers
More and more country authorities require companies to integrate their finance system with central tax system, KSeF, to register invoices, delivery notes etc. electronically at the local tax authorities’ systems.
Polish Ministry of Finance agreed by the amendment from the 29 th of October 2021 of the regulation act on tax and goods and service to work to introduce the electronic invoicing in Poland, the Krajowy System e-Faktur or KSeF.
After that, companies could voluntary use the KSeF from January 2022 but the process needed to be postpone because of some critical error found on the system.
Now, end of April 2024, Polish Ministry of Finance confirmed after an audit on KSeF system that there will be needed more time to work on solving these errors and announced new dates to launch into force the mandatory implementation of KSeF:
