Our team of Integration Architects has participated in multiple migration projects. Thanks to that, we have stablished a migration methodology that minimizes the go-to-market time ensuring no impact for the business.

Migration Steps

Migration Assessment

Get a clear picture of the migration to SAP Integration Suite with CODE10 Migration Assessment.

  1. Information extraction: We will start by extracting the list of your integrations to get a preliminary effort
  2. Analysis: we will go through your interfaces and analyze them to adjust the effort giving each interface a t-shirt size estimate.
  3. Result: our assessment provides a detailed overview of the migration challenges (pain points, technological changes) and gives you an accurate project scope.

Migration Proposal

When the migration scope derived from the asssesment  is agreed, we elaborate a detailed migration proposal.
Our proposal contains a detailed execution plan based in CODE10 Activate methodology:

  • Execution planned in waves
  • Overlapping waves to reduce delivery time and maximize team assignment.

Migration execution

We divide each execution sprint (wave) in the following steps to improve quality and minimize risks:

  • Wave preparation & Kickoff: CODE10 in collaboration with Customer will elaborate the detailed migration plan for the set of interfaces and establish the milestones, prerequisites and specific risks for a smooth migration.
  • Execution: CODE10 with Customer support will perform the tasks needed to migrate the interfaces to SAP Integration Suite. Unit testing will be performed during this phase.
  • User Acceptance Test (UAT): Customer will be responsible to desing and execute the UAT. The result of this testing process should give us the Go/No-Go migration to be communicated by Customer’s Business Domain Experts
  • Cutover and Go-Live: Once the Go Live is approved, the necessary tasks to prepare the interfaces for go live will be performed following a detailed cutover plan.  After go Live, two weeks Hypercare period will be established for that set of interfaces with periodic health checks.
  • Knowledge Transfer: At the end of each wave there would be a KT training to the Customer’s team so they can monitor and troubleshoot the interfaces after the Hypercare period

Go Live & Hypercare

Thanks to our approach based in waves, the interfaces are activated separately minimizing the business impact. During the first phase of the hypercare and handover, the project is still in execution, this helps the customer get familiar with the new system while we are still around.

After the hypercare is finished, we can support via our AMS Service .

Training

Our training enables the customer to take over the system after the migration. The scope is defined depending on the customer needs from monitoring and administration to a full SAP Integration Suite discovery.
