The session explains how organizations can use Boomi for SAP to expose SAP objects through APIs, reduce their reliance on custom ABAP developments and support transformation initiatives involving SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, cloud applications and enterprise data platforms.

Christopher provides an overview of the Boomi platform and explains how integration automation, data management, API management and AI agent management work together to support modern enterprise architectures.
Sergio then demonstrates how Boomi for SAP can access BW extractors, IDocs, function modules, business events and SAP tables. Through its visual table services, users can select fields, join SAP tables, apply authorizations and publish the resulting data model as a REST API without building a custom extraction from scratch.
The session also includes a practical data integration scenario in which SAP data is extracted through Boomi for SAP and transferred to Google Cloud Storage using a scheduled pipeline. The same approach can be applied to data lakes, data warehouses and platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks or Azure.
