Since November 1, 2019, all public sector entities in Bulgaria are required to receive and process electronic invoices via CAIS EPP, in accordance with the EU Directive 2014/55/EU.
As of today, suppliers are not yet legally required to issue einvoices, but those participating in public procurement are strongly encouraged to adopt sturctured einvoicing through CAIS EPP.
